The Cold Spring Silver Springers lost their first game of the season on Saturday by a score of 2-0 to the Class C Richmond Royals in the first game of the 3rd annual Day at the Park in Cold Spring.  After averaging 12 hits per game coming into Saturday, the Silvers settled for just one hit, an infield single by John Theis in the bottom of the seventh inning.  Jake Eichten pitched well on the mound, but suffered the loss after allowing two runs on six hits, four walks, and three strikeouts.

Scoring Summary:

Richmond scored single runs in the fourth and sixth innings and that was all they would need as two Royal pitchers cooled down the Cold Spring bats and came away with a 2-0 victory.
